He made the history come alive, explaining... read more the role of the Medici family, the first Christian church inside the Firenze city--the Baptistry, the construction of the Cathedral on top of the site of the ancient church. He used his iPad to show pictures and maps throughout the history tour. We walked through very old (13th c) parts of the city I otherwise would not have visited. I saw the house where Leonardo stayed and the Dante museo. And we toured the open part of the incredible Uffizi museum. Wonderful! In addition, he introduced us to street food and local businesses and gave us a list of places to visit during my time in Firenze. Take the tour on your first day in the city if possible!
